Kia Will Showcase EV9 Electric SUV at Auto Expo 2023

Auto shows are often used as a place to show off concept cars. This strategy is also what Kia will carry out at the Auto Expo 2023 in India in mid-January 2023. Kia has released the first teaser confirming that the EV9 electric SUV will be showcased. However, the electric car is still in the form of a concept. The EV9 unit is built using the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the same as the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5. Dimensionally, this electric SUV is similar to the Range Rover.

As for the exterior design, this car is said to have several exhibition car attributes. On the front, Kia applies the latest 'tiger nose' grille and is also decorated with LEDs. The body design is made more boxing. In addition, there are also many flat surfaces. So, the design seems very simple. The concept version is also made by minimizing physical buttons, and decorated with ambient light in several parts.

The bench configuration consists of three rows. The third row and second row can be folded flat to the floor to maximize luggage capacity. As for the kitchen spur, EV9 is rumored to be equipped with a 77.4 kWh battery. Unfortunately, it is not yet known how much mileage and power this car produces. This concept car was first showcased at the 2021 Los Angeles Motor Show. The EV9 is believed to start entering the production stage in late 2023.
