Genesis GV60 2023 is Keyless

Genesis GV60 2023 is Keyless, it just needs a facial recognition sensor The Genesis GV60 is the luxury brand's first dedicated electric vehicle. We had the opportunity to test it in September this year and were pleasantly surprised by its performance, stunning interior and fast charging technology.

For the 2023 model year in European markets, the electric crossover has technology in the form of new biometric features, including the world's first facial recognition technology for keyless entry and engine start on a production vehicle. A function called Face Connect gives customers the ability to unlock and access their car using their face thanks to facial recognition sensors with deep-learning image processing controllers.

You only need to access the car with the physical key once and set up your profile for facial recognition - all future locking, unlocking and engine starting can be done completely without the need for a physical key. For some, this technology might sound a little too intimidating and confusing. However, Genesis says the system is easy to use.

Then, there is an LED indicator on the B-pillar, which visualizes the car's status and provides confirmation whenever the system is activated. The automaker also ensures that no biometric data is ever uploaded and stored remotely outside the car's HMI.
